Traitor's Gate Animation

Today we were asked to create our animation for our storyboard idea. I started with drawing the image in each strip for my story board, and each one on it's own layer. When doing this I had to think what layers would connect with each other. For example I couldn't have the prisoner in the boat scene without the Traitor's Gate background. Or the shocked prisoner getaway scene without the add on with the pursuer, and the text scene. Adding the colours weren't too difficult to do., and the drawings aren't too detailed.

Just Eat

An animated commercial directing people to their business, Just Eat. This is where you can order food, without going to the food stores to eat. It demonstrates this by showing a hungry belly in need of something to eat, and the brain finding something to eat by going online to the website, JustEat.co.uk. This is clever, because it speaks to the audience who have both things, basically saying if you have a brain go to their website.

BBC/ Ceebebies

An animated commercial, talking about the new feature for grown ups, to do with their kids. This offers games to play, and many activities The advert's showing a 2d animated character of a parent with a kid, exploring the new website feature. Good for keeping an eye on their kids.

Aqua Fresh

An animated commercial, talking about their product- Aqua Fresh toothpaste, mainly aimed at kids. This shows kids their product, and how to brush your teeth. Good for teaching kids, and getting credit for being the teacher who taught them which will encourage the parents to buy their product.

Coke Music

An animated non cartoon commercial for advertising Coke. Don't know what the aim is apart from making Coke more popular.

Accident Hero

An animated 3D advert  for people who have been in an accident, and their car is totalled. Then what this company offers is, compensation to fix it. This is good, because there are tons of people who get into accidents, and they are offering help which people like, so it's a popular, and successful business.

Curious Cow

An animated cartoon series which was intended for Nickelodeon. It's a cartoon about a curious cow, and the trouble it gets into when it gets curious, and doesn't listen to the instruction, or ignores the signs of danger. This is good, because it can be funny watching a cow get maimed, and it's nice to watch, because it is simple, and nice looking,as well as short.

Door and Fish Animations

To do this work I first uploaded the file from the Unit 10 folder, next I created a timeline by going to windows. Then I converted both objects to smart objects. After I click on the option to set the opacity for the doors, this is just basically a process of opposites which I'll explain later, but there is one main rule, make sure you have a door to show at the beginning, in other words set the closed door to 100% because that is it's first position. Then just make the last setting the opposite, so closed door 0% and the open door at 100%, and do the same for the rest until you get to 5 seconds.

Then to colour the background, and the floor and shadow of the door  I selected the paint brush tool, and painted the where I wanted the colour to by, to chose the colour I changed the foreground colour, which you will find by the two squares.

Fish animation


This was my favourite, because interesting than animating a boring object, such as a door. To do this I opened the file, then name the layers, convert each layer to a smart object, then set the frame rate to 12, highlight the stopwatch features. Set opacity to 0% for the big fish with open mouth, and 0% the same fish but wide, all these you will find on the layers, now your left with the closed mouth fish and little fish , then move the time indicator to 2.00 seconds, next move big fish with closed mouth close to little fish.

This was for the second part of the lesson. A animation/ rotoscope showing a fat man falling into a pool of water , where I had to animate the slow motion of him dramatically falling, and the tidal wave that he creates with his hilarious weight backwards flop.

Unit 10 Animations/Rain Drop/Walk Cycle 2/3/15

Above you see the result of two animations I did last week, and today it is a frame by frame drawing of a rain drop, and the other is a walk cycle.

All Work Finished

I have now completed all my work for Unit 12, including the presentation Learning Outcome for Steve.

Finishing off Work

For today I finished my poster, logo, bag design, and the banner. I am now finished with the Joke shop theme work, but need to take home to finish the Digital Technology Presentation. Here is a screenshot of my finished work
